SUV crashes into Dover woman’s home

An 83-year-old Dover woman woke up to an SUV in her living room Christmas morning.

At about 3 a.m., the vehicle crashed into Dorothy Ussery’s home, totaling it. There were no serious injuries, but  the home will be demolished Monday.

Ussery has lived in the home for 46 years. She had homeowners insurance, but because of financial difficulties was unable to keep it. Now, she is homeless. The Red Cross has provided temporary housing for her. In a few days, she will have to move in with family.

The family is asking for donations. To help Ussery visit GoFundMe.com/jaxfws
