Suspect steals $2,000 worth of copper

A suspect removed $2,000 of red copper wire used for a lighting suppression system from a Dover AT&T property, on March 27.

Between 8 and 10 a.m., a white male suspect entered the property, which has a cell tower on site, located at 14003 Sydney Road. The suspect gained entry to the property by opening the combination lock on the gate and then placed shirts over the surveillance cameras.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction in a 2008 to 2010 silver Chevrolet HHR.

Anyone with any information reference the suspect is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 247-8200 or anyone with any information regarding the identity and whereabouts of this suspect and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or text “CSTB plus your tip” to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
