BASKETBALL

+ Chargers getting back on track

Last week, the Chargers ripped off a four-game win streak that put them back in the district conversation.

The team started things off with a 59-44 win at Plant City Dec. 4, then got a 78-58 win over Durant on Dec. 9 to sweep their area rivals in the first half of the season. Dec. 11 saw a 52-46 win over the Brandon Eagles at home, and the Chargers followed that up the next day with a 78-54 win at Steinbrenner — marked by sophomore Jordan White’s 28 points and senior Isaiah Channer’s 22 points, nine rebounds, 10 assists and six steals.

SOCCER

+ PCHS boys, girls in control

The boys are entering Christmas break with a 7-2-2 record, and they haven’t dropped a game since hosting East Bay on Nov. 14. On Monday, Dec. 15, they wrapped up 2014 with a 7-0 home win over Middleton.

The girls have been even better, posting a 10-1-1 record with one game left in their regular season. The Lady Raiders also dropped the Nov. 14 game against East Bay, 1-0, and have not lost or tied since.

They also haven’t allowed a goal since that time, and have scored a total of 57 goals — 15 of which came against Middleton on Dec. 15.
