The Plant City Police Department continues to investigate a homicide that occurred overnight April 10, at 702 N. Woodrow Wilson St.
Detectives have identified the victim as 36 year-old Wesley Tanner Reece, of Plant City.
Reece, who suffered upper body trauma, was found dead by officers, while they were conducting a welfare check at the residence.
Detectives have determined this was an isolated incident carried out by an acquaintance of Reece and are working with the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office, which will make the final determination regarding what charges will be filed.
