Jessie “Gene” Stephens, 77, of Plant City, died Feb. 15, 2017.
He was born Dec. 12, 1939. He was a lifetime farmer and he was an active member of Life Church at Fishhawk Church of God. He loved his family and he enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Reitha Stephens; children, Judy Lanier (Jay), Donna Stewart and Roy Stephens (Brettina); seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held Feb. 20, at Hopewell Funeral Home in Plant City.
Private committal followed at Cedars of Lebanon, Inglis, Florida.
