We asked Plant City: Who is a veteran in your life that you’re thankful for?
My dad Major retired AF served underage in the Marine Corp as a gunnery in WW11. Worked himself through college with 4 young children Iowa State now in the AF. Korean war and Vietnam 1965. Flew B52 and honored for his bravery many times. His name Robert Franklin Keables. I am his daughter Susan Keables Stephens retired 6th grade from Tomlin. My dear friend honored all the Plant City veterans ; Susan Williamson, at Tomlin with a veteran assembly and reception. Plant City lives God first family and then country.

My Dad, Frank Medrano who served 20 year in the USAF. He was a medic during Vietnam at Clark AFB in the Philippines. He retired and moved our family to Plant City in 1979. You may recognize his property on N. 39, it’s the one decorated with American Flags and honoring all branches during every Patriotic Holiday.
