Hope Lutheran Church deaconess Lyn Senkarik celebrated 10 years in ministry at a service Sunday, Sept. 27.
Senkarik, a retired nurse, is also a graduate of the deaconess program of Valporaiso University in Indiana. She served her internship at Christ Lutheran Church, in Lakeland, and Grace Lutheran Church, in Winter Haven.
She currently serves at Hope Lutheran, where she leads Hope’s Stephen Ministry and GriefShare ministry programs.
“Hope has been so blessed with Lyn as a vital part of our ministry staff and outreach,” Hope’s Sr. Pastor, Reverend Dean Pfeffer, said. “Her leadership and Christian care giving help to make our Stephen Ministry and other caring ministries what they are. All of us at Hope truly thank God for Lyn.”
