600 block of Bethune Dr.

Bicycle theft: Sometime this week an unknown suspect stole a 26 inch orange Huffy brand bicycle from the victim’s backyard. 

Eye on the prize

1400 block of N. Lime St.

Vehicle burglary/theft of a firearm: Overnight an unknown suspect entered an unlocked 2017 blue Dodge Challenger and stole a Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun from the front center console. 

Hangover cure gone wrong

1900 block of James L. Redman Pkwy.

DUI: Officers responded to the 1900 block of James L. Redman Pkwy. in regards to a woman being asleep in the drive thru. She was placed under arrest for DUI and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

March 8

Not your lucky day

Turkey Creek Rd./Sydney Rd.

Warrant arrest: Officers conducted a traffic stop on a 2020 Hyundai in regards to a traffic violation (red light). They found the man in the vehicle had an outstanding Hillsborough County warrant for VOP Criminal Mischief less than $200. He was arrested. 

To grandmother’s house we go

700 block of Franklin St.

Vehicle theft: Officers met with this victim who told them she had parked a 2008 silver Nissan Altima with a Florida temporary tag at her grandmother’s house at approximately 10 p.m. It was then stolen. 

March 9

‘Nacho’ sly

2100 block of W. Baker St.

Theft: A manager at Taco Bell reported to police that former employees had stolen money when they were still working at the store. A waiver of prosecution was signed and the incident was documented.

2100 block of N. Johnson St.

Vehicle burglary: During the early morning hours of March 9 an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed three $50 bills from the driver side door panel. 

March 10

Shopping spree

1400 block of Plantation Blvd.

Residential burglary: This victim reported to police that between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6:45 a.m. an  unknown subject entered his apartment via the screened in patio and then came in through a sliding glass door. A 65inch Sony television, bluetooth speakers, a 14k yellow gold woman’s bracelet and a woman’s diamond ring were taken from the apartment. 

Mayday at Marshalls

200 block of W. Alexander St.

Theft: Marshalls Department Store’s loss prevention team reported that an unknown woman took $123 worth of merchandise from the store and then fled the scene. 

Whoops-a-daisy 

1200 block of N. Wheeler St.

Felony drug arrest/possession of firearm and ammunition by convicted felon: A man was placed under arrest for possession of methamphetamine, violation of CCW, possession of a firearm and ammunition by convicted felon. He was transported to Orient Road Jail without incident.

2700 block of Thonotosassa Rd.

Felony drug (arrest): Officers responded to the above listed location in response to a report of a disturbance. A man was arrested for possession of cocaine, methamphetamine and prescription medications. He was transported to Orient Road Jail without incident.

600 block of Bethune Dr.

Theft: Officers responded to this house in reference to someone having stolen its security camera. 

Jordan snatchers

2600 block of Holly Bluff Ct.

Theft: This victim reported that two pairs of Jordan shoes, valued at approximately $400, were stolen.
