Zeno, Xerox announce partnership

Zeno Office Solutions, a Tampa-based company co-owned by Plant City Commissioner Rick Lott, recently was acquired by Xerox.

Lott and co-founder Tom Frederick will retain control of Zeno’s operations, while the partnership will allow the company to begin offering its clients Xerox’s full catalog of hardware and software products.

“We’re very excited about this,” Lott said. “We’ve been in discussions, off and on, for quite some time. And this is the perfect combination for these two companies.”

Lott has been traveling to each of his company’s branches to share the news with Zeno’s 300-plus employees.

“We’ll operate as we always have and be able to deliver that local service, but now, we have the financial baking of a large Fortune 500 company.”

Furthermore, Lott said he hopes that the partnership will allow Zeno to grow — both within its current markets and also establish a presence in new areas.

“We do have customers nationwide, but obviously with our headquarters in Tampa, we have a large concentration of national accounts (here).”

Zeno has enjoyed steady growth since its inception in 1996. Last October, the company acquired Tampa-based Infinity Technology Solutions to add IT management and cloud-computing services to its portfolio.

Currently, Zeno operates 11 offices throughout the state.
