Charles Ellis is the Youth Athletics Coordinator for Plant City Parks & Recreation Dept., a role he has held since June 2024. Ellis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Leisure and Fitness from Florida A&M University and has extensive experience in sports management and recreation. He is also pursuing a Master’s Degree in Sport Management from the University of Florida.
In his capacity as coordinator, Ellis manages various city-sponsored sports leagues and events, including:
• Youth Basketball: Coordinating registration and league operations for seasons typically running from January to February.
• Summer Sports Camps: Organizing camps for soccer, flag football, and tennis.
• Volunteer Coaching: Serving as the primary point of contact for individuals interested in volunteering as coaches for youth leagues.
