The Plant City Family YMCA wants to help local night owls get their sports fix.
From 9:30 p.m. Friday to 12 a.m. Saturday, the Y will host a midnight basketball event with 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 tournaments, music and more for youths age 12 to 17. The Y will host midnight futsal (indoor soccer) with the same timeframe on Jan. 19 for anyone age 15 and up, and it will host another midnight basketball event Jan. 26.
The cost to play either sport is $8 for everywhere members, $12 for Plant City Family YMCA-only members and $16 for non members. Registration may be done online at ow.ly/FCb530hJ2OC or at the Y, 1507 YMCA Place, before or the day of events at the front desk during normal hours of operation. Spaces are limited.
