Tangela Campbell, 38, of Plant City, was shot during a drug deal on Tuesday, July 28.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Campbell had gone with her son to purchase marijuana at a location on Frontage Road. During a conversation with the dealers, Campbell was shot in the neck. The suspects fled and Campbell was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
The suspects, 21-year-old Samuel Lenker and 19-year-old Hector Delgado, were both arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Campbell is currently being treated at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
