Coach’s comments: "Watching how far they’ve come in such a short amount of time has been fun. When we first started it was rough because they didn’t really know the rules of the Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken leagues. We had to work very hard to come a long way shortly. Defense is definitely our strength. We’ve got two more tournaments we’re going to play. One is this weekend in Lakeland Highlands and we’re playing another tournament on July 14 in Apopka. Our number one goal is to have fun and teach the boys something. It’s extra baseball. Other kids are at home that didn’t make this team and these guys are working hard and getting better during the summer. Our goal for the near future is to win a tournament — we haven’t done that yet but did finish runner-up in one." — Phil Laliberte
