UPDATE: Person of interest arrested in double homicide

An arrest has been made in connection to the  Jan. 22 double homicide near Twilight Zone Lounge, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Kalvin Williams, 22, is a person of interest in the case. He was arrested by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in Jacksonville. Williams was on a bus traveling through Jacksonville to an unknown location.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office continues to search for the young, Hispanic male suspect seen by witnesses running toward the Twilight Zone Lounge, 4010 E. SR 60, after the incident. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, khaki cargo shorts and white sneakers.

Officers responded at about 4 p.m. Jan. 22, to a 911 call that shots had been fired at an area between Twilight Zone Lounge and a residential building with month-to-month leasing. Upon arrival, units confirmed that two victims were dead.

One of the victims was Lloyd Travonte Gordon, 20, of Lakeland. The second victim was Jose Rolando Aguirre, 17, of Mulberry.

Detectives believe the incident was drug-related.

“Our information is somewhat vague at this time, but … we have a lot of personnel on the scene,” Sheriff David Gee said.

Officers conducted an active ground search.

“He’s desperate, and he’s on foot,” Gee said at the time.
