On Thursday, June 2, officers from the Plant City Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic offense.
The driver of the car was William White, 25. White pulled into the parking lot of Wells Fargo at 202 S. Wheeler St. White's female passenger, Leiann Shover, 24, had a rifle between her legs.
When officers approached the car, White reached for the rifle. Other officers arrived as back up and had to use force to remove both White and Shover from the car.
Shover physically resisted officers and kicked officers in the legs several times. No officers were injured during the incident.
Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Orient Road Jail.
