Tree planted in honor of Felton Williams

A tree was planted Jan. 18, at Eastside Baptist Church, in honor of the late Felton Williams, owner and founder of Felton’s Meat and Produce.

Representatives from Felton’s contacted Darcy Stottlemyer, at All-A-Bloom Florist, wanting to do something to honor him. Stottlemyer’s husband, Patrick, suggested plant a holly tree in his honor.

Williams was a longtime member, former treasurer and deacon of Eastside Baptist Church.

“We chose a holly tree, because we wanted something that would bloom all year,” Stottlemyer said.

A plaque also has been ordered, which will be placed on a rock near the tree.
