Sunshine Bank appoints senior vice president

Kristen Appleby has been appointed as Sunshine Bank’s senior vice president, mortgage and consumer lending manager.  In her role, Appleby will be responsible for managing Sunshine Bank’s consumer loan functions and operations, including mortgage and collections.

“Kristen is a seasoned professional who will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency and consistency of our consumer and mortgage lending activities, while providing the client-focused approach that is such an important aspect of our culture,” Andrew Samuel, president and chief executive officer, and director of Sunshine Bancorp Inc. and Sunshine Bank, said. “We are delighted to have someone of her caliber join our growing team at Sunshine.”

Appleby has over 19 years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in consumer lending and mortgage.  Prior to joining the organization, she served as a vice president of US Compliance with Financeit USA, where she was responsible for developing, implementing and administering all aspects of Financeit’s and its US lenders Compliance Management Program.

Appleby holds a degree in business management from the University of Pittsburgh. She is resident of Tampa, and an avid marathon and triathlon competitor.
