Sunshine Bank has appointed Nick Thurston as vice president and business banking manager of Sunsh
ine Bank. In his role, Thurston will develop new business opportunities focusing on small and medium size businesses, and oversee the team of business bankers.
“We are extremely pleased that Nick has joined our team,” Andrew Samuel, president and chief executive officer of Sunshine Bancorp Inc. and Sunshine Bank, said. “He has a very successful track record of working with businesses in the Tampa area and will be instrumental in growing our business banking unit.”
Thurston has over 16 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining the organization, he served as vice president, commercial banking at SunTrust Bank, where he managed an extensive commercial loan portfolio.
A graduate of Northwood University, Thurston resides in the Tampa area and is an active member of the local community.
