If you’ve been thinking that time is flying, you wouldn’t be wrong. Seems like we just dropped the strawberry in downtown, and yet here we are preparing for summer camp for our littles. Yes, we see you searching for fun camps in our area, and so we thought we would help you find a couple.

We know every kid is different, and so yours may have a wide range of interests. It is our hope that we will provide you with some viable options that will meet your child’s needs and be beneficial, simultaneously.

These are not provided in any specific ranking order. Instead, we are listing them in the order in which we heard back from one of their representatives. To be fair, we did randomly message these people on FB.

First to respond was Nicole Williams. Mad props to her because she answered our message at 12:42 a.m. She sent us the information on Faith Christian Academy’s Kids Summer Camp. They will be offering academic, creative, and STEM-based activities with weekly field trips. Camp is open June 1 through July 17 and after the $50 registration, it is $600 (breakfast, lunch, and snacks included). For more information, you can call (813) 473 2090.

Paul Coletti, who directs two camps in town, was the next to respond, coming in at a reasonable 9:54 a.m. The first of his camps is Camp Invention, where you can “spark summer fun.” This camp is designed to “ignite your child’s imagination and boost their confidence.” Camp Invention is from June 8 through June 12 and costs $310. But, according to Paul, if you contact the director, you will be given $75 off (contact: pacman1988@gmail.com).

His other camp is Next Level Games Camp. Week one for that is June 15 through June 18, and week two is June 22 through June 25. Located at Walden Lake Elementary, Coach Palmer and Coach Coletti will lead your kids in games, group activities, and fun sports. This is sure to be an active camp experience. Each week is $150. You can get more information on this camp by calling (813) 951 6266 or using the previously mentioned email.

Our very own social media person, Ciara Martin, provided us with the information for the Summer Camp happening at the Florida Children’s Museum. This is outside of Plant City, but it’s such a neat facility that it might be worth the drive for you. According to their website, “Each week of camp offers its own unique theme and programming, free-play in the Museum, and daily trips to Bonnet Springs Park.” Members of the museum receive a 15% discount on enrollment, and each week of camp is $330. This cost includes a camp t-shirt, per week signed up (max of 5), daily snacks, and Friday pizza lunch.

Perhaps the most unique, in our opinion, camp option we have for you is our next-to-last responder, Malibu Run. This is a horse camp, and we can almost see all the little girls begging to attend. There are three available weeks, and they each cost $350 with a non-refundable $50 deposit. There are a limited number of slots, and they are filling up. “Each day is thoughtfully structured to include hands-on horsemanship, riding, games, and interactive activities—while keeping things fun, safe, and engaging.” Denise Dennison is your contact person, and she can be reached at (813) 409 8406. This camp is in Valrico, and the dates are June 8 through June 11, June 15 through June 18 and July 13 through July 16. Keep in mind that the first week is for beginners only.

Just getting in under the wire is Samantha Sweat with the Plant City High School Cheer Camp. PCHS is working with Parks and Rec to offer this two-day camp July 21 through July 22. “The camp is open to children ages 4–13 and costs $105 per participant. Participants will learn cheer fundamentals, build confidence, and train alongside the 2025 and 2026 National Champion Plant City High School cheer team. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt and will learn a short routine to perform for parents at the conclusion of the camp.” For more info, contact: plantcitycheer@gmail.com.

A summer camp list would not be complete without some martial arts inclusions. If you’re looking for Karate camps, there are quite a few out there. Here’s some basic info on a couple of them that we have seen but did not reach out to.

Action Karate in Lithia is offering Action Summer Camp. Each week has an interesting title: Samurai Camp (June 8 through June 12), Wilderness Camp (June 22 through June 26) and Circus Camp (July 6 through July 10). Pricing breakdown is as follows:

3 Days- $189

4 Days- $199

5 Days- $209

Attend all three camps for $597 (includes water bottle and t-shirt)

Attend two camps for $398 (includes choice of water bottle or t-shirt)

Need more information? Here’s the contact (813) 535 4191.

Chris Welbon Karate is local to PC and also offers camps for children this summer. There are four weeks to choose from, and half or full day options are available. According to their site, “CWKC Ultimate Summer Camps are the perfect mix of fun, structure, and skill-building.” Each of the four weeks is $250, and you are required to put $50 to reserve your spot and then pay the remainder of the balance on the first day of camp. These are dates for the camp:

Week 1-  June 1 through June 5

Week 2-  June 15 through June 19

Week 3- July 13 through July 17

Week 4- July 27 through July 31

Additional information available at (813) 752 9800.

Hopefully, this Summer Camp Guide for busy parents saves you some scroll time. Happy planning.
