Once again, the Plant City Times & Observer’s mascot StrawBuddy is here to highlight everything the 2018 Florida Strawberry Festival and his beloved town has to offer. The witty berry is excited to hit the streets and meet his fellow residents.
In conjunction with the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce and Fryed Egg Productions, the 2018 StrawBuddy Selfie Tour Challenge will allow members in the community to go on a scavenger-style hunt to find him in local businesses throughout town and on the festival grounds. The lovable berry was printed by Minuteman Press and is located throughout the city, showing off all that makes Plant City unique.
If you find him peeking out of a window or lounging in a chair, take a selfie with him and post it to social media using the hashtags #PlantCityStrawbuddy, #BerryFest18 and #VisitPlantCity. The more you post the more you’ll be entered into the contest. Lucky winners will receive tickets to the Reba McEntire concert on March 4 or the Brad Paisley concert on March 11. The cutoff for each giveaway will be at 5 p.m. on March 1 for Reba and March 8 for Paisley tickets.
Winners will be announced March 2 and March 9 and the tickets may be picked up at the Plant City Chamber of Commerce booth at the festival on the day of the show. Come by the Plant City Times & Observer office or visit the participating locations below to join the challenge!
