The Chargers took on the Riverview Sharks at Tampa Prep as part of the City of Tampa Tournament.
The game started slowly as both teams turned it over on opening possessions. The Sharks scored first with a fast-break layup. The second quarter started with Jones stealing it and getting a layup for the Chargers. Jones stole it again and found Hall for the baseline 3. The Sharks scored with a putback after the offensive rebound. The Chargers got a layup from Hall. The Chargers stole it again, and Hall got a fast-break layup. It was a 9-2 Chargers run before the Sharks coach called a timeout with 5:31 left in the half. The Sharks scored with an inbound play. After a midrange pull-up for the Sharks, Von Ancken got to the free throw line for the Chargers and went 1-2. The Sharks got to the free throw line and went 1-2. The 4th quarter started sloppily as both teams started slow, but the Sharks hit a 3, followed by a 3 from the Chargers Carter Valentin. The Sharks got to the free throw line and went 2-2. The Sharks scored back-to-back baskets, then a timeout was called with 4:54 left in the game. The Sharks got an offensive rebound after the timeout and got the basket to make it a 10-point game. The Sharks hit a 3 to make it a 7-point game. Hall got the Chargers a basket with a nice floater. The Sharks stayed fighting as they got another offensive rebound and put back.
