Sign up for Unity in the Community’s annual Clay Shoot.

Unity in the Community will be hosting its fifth annual Clay Shoot Saturday, Dec. 10.

Sponsored by Star Distribution Systems, there will be raffles, food and fun. Proceeds of this event go to support Unity in the Community, which provides financial support to local charities, community service events and those in need. Unity in the Community has provided more than $200,000 in 2016 to support charities and organizations such as Meals on Wheels, The United Food Bank of Plant City, Trinity Sportsman, Boys & Girls Club, Stuff the Bus, Lots of Hugs and more.

Fun Facts

– Trap is the oldest shotgun shooting sport in the United States.
– Trapshooting has five positions; skeet has eight positions. 
– Sporting clay fields are laid out in natural surroundings. Like golf, shooters move from one station to the next. 
– A round of trap and a round of skeet consist of 25 targets while a round of sporting clays consists of 50 to 100 targets.
