+ Former PCHS football player to speak about cancer

Plant City High alum Russell Kemp knows all too well how tough it is to deal with cancer.

He also knows a thing or two about staying positive and fighting through it. On Tuesday, March 12, Kemp will be one of four cancer patients giving pep talks at the Moffitt Cancer Center’s “A Night of Stories to Inspire” event.

The event will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Moffitt center’s conference room, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa.

+ Raiders lock up top seed

Plant City High baseball has much to smile about this week.

The Raiders also locked up the No. 1 seed in the upcoming district tournament, thanks to their 1-0 Wednesday, March 30, win over East Bay.
