Sandra Whitmill has been promoted to Sunshine Bank’s vice president. She will be responsible for managing policy and ensuring the bank is in compliance with regulatory requirements.
“We are excited to promote Sandi to compliance officer at Sunshine Bank,” Jane Tompkins, chief risk officer, said. “Her depth of knowledge is invaluable and we are confident that she will be a strong leader for our compliance area.”
Whitmill has almost 40 years of experience in the banking industry. She has been with Sunshine Bank for 14 years and most recently served as the training director. In 2012, she earned her Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers, a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association, in Washington, D.C.
Residing in Plant City, Whitmill has been active in many banking and community organizations over the years.
