Attention young anglers: The Plant City Recreation and Parks Department will host its next fishing derby from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Sept. 29, near Plant City Stadium, 1900 South Park Road.
The event is free, but registration is required. Participating children must bring their own tackle and be accompanied by an adult. Preregistration is available at the Recreation and Parks Department office at 1904 S. Park Road or online, plantcitygov.com. Registration also will be accepted from 7 to 8:15 a.m. the day of the derby.
