Red Calliope Gallery on Evers and Rouge Champagne Bar in Plant City have become the go-to spot in the historic downtown corridor for all things art, music, comedy, and theater. This past October, they debuted their first cabaret show, La Lemiere, which was a mixture of Broadway’s sexy songs, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, and The Greatest Showman. “La Lemiere ended up being multiple sell-out shows with a lot of positive feedback,” said Rachel Dummeldinger, owner of Red Calliope Gallery on Evers and Rouge Champagne Bar. “At the end of La Lemiere’s run, the cast and I knew we wanted to do another cabaret show.’
Fast forward to January of 2026, Dummeldinger and choreographer, Tatianna Eriksen started putting together a new cabaret show called Inferno, Cabaret at The Disco. “It’s a disco revival!” Dummeldinger said. “It’s going to loosely tell a story of love and shenanigans on the dance floor. It’s a little bit of Studio 54 meets Solid Gold and runs across Broadway. There will definitely be a lot of singing, dancing, and theater with this new show.”
Inferno, Cabaret at The Disco will take place every Sunday through the month of March at Red Calliope Gallery on Evers. There will be two shows each Sunday. The first show will be the early show from 4:00 p.m. to 6 :00 p.m. and includes a hot hors d’oeuvre bar from Norma’s. Tickets for the early show are $75 plus a service fee. The second show will be in the evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a cash bar. Tickets for the evening show are $50 plus a service fee.
The Plant City community embraced Red Calliope’s last cabaret show, and Dummeldinger feels the community will embrace this new show. “Once the community saw that our cabaret show was not burlesque or risqué, they enjoyed it,” Dummeldinger said. Our shows are more Broadway-themed, and we are not crossing any boundaries. Our guests have been extremely open and didn’t even know they liked cabaret as a form of entertainment, but they have and they want more.”
Red Calliope Gallery on Evers is a true celebration of the arts in the Plant City community. Dummeldinger hopes that the community will come out and support the arts. “My hope is that the community will love our new show as much as the last one,” she said. “We look forward to Plant City coming out and showing their support of the vibrant art and artists we have here in our community.”
