PTR Baler and Compactor’s manufacturing, installation, repair and service operations for the Southeast have relocated to a facility on Reece Road in Plant City.
PTR will employ a staff of 15, with expansion plans of up to 50 employees. The company also plans to hire most of its associates from Plant City and Hillsborough County with positions that include welders, fitters, painters, helpers, installers and technicians.

The company invested approximately $400,000 in renovations to the newly-purchased 11,260 square-foot facility at 4609 Reece Road. Upon completion, the facility will have increased its footprint to over 15,000 square feet. The building was purchased for $620,000.

Florida is home to over 19,000 manufacturers employing more than 331,000 workers.
