Local Voters are Encouraged to Participate in the Upcoming Municipal Runoff.
Residents of Plant City will soon have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Municipal Runoff Election, with early in-person voting beginning Friday, May 22. City officials are encouraging eligible voters to make a plan to cast their ballot and take advantage of the convenient voting options available ahead of Election Day.
Early voting will take place at City Hall on Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day. Voters who prefer to avoid Election Day lines or who may have scheduling conflicts are encouraged to vote early during these designated times.
Election Day voting will be held on Tuesday, May 26, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., also at City Hall. Because this is a non-partisan municipal election, all registered voters who reside within the city limits are eligible to participate, regardless of political affiliation.
Officials are also reminding residents about important Vote By Mail procedures. Voters who requested a mail ballot for the runoff election may return their completed ballot to any designated intake station operated by the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections. However, mail ballots cannot be submitted at City Hall on Election Day.
For voters who requested a mail ballot but later decide they would rather vote in person, election officials say the mail ballot can be canceled before casting an in-person vote. This option ensures voters maintain flexibility while still participating in the election.
The Municipal Runoff Election plays an important role in determining local leadership and decisions that directly impact the Plant City community. Residents are encouraged to verify their voter status, review polling information, and prepare the necessary identification before arriving to vote.
Additional details about polling procedures, mail ballot drop-off locations, and voter eligibility can be found at VoteHillsborough.gov/PC26.
City leaders encourage all eligible residents to take part in the voting process and make their voices heard during this important local election.
