Plant City now in Hurricane Matthew impact zone, FEMA says

The Category 4 storm is set to hit Florida before the end of the week.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) visited the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce Wednesday, Oct. 5, to announce that Plant City is now in Hurricane Matthew's impact zone. 

As of Wednesday, the Category 4 hurricane had made landfall in Cuba and was headed to the Bahamas before making its way to Florida. 

According to FEMA, residents will be qualified to receive assistance due to storm damage.
