Plant City man wins lotto

Daniel Crumley, 37, of Plant City, claimed a $1 million prize in the 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee this week.

He purchased his winning ticket from Circle K at 1514 S. Alexander St. in Plant City. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Crumley chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $763,404.18.

The $25 game, 100X THE CASH, offers top prizes of $1 million and $5 million. Seven $1 million prizes and one $5 million prize remain to be won. The game’s overall odds of winning are one-in-2.86.

Scratch-Off games comprising about 64% of ticket sales and generated more than $640 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2013-14.
