Ashlyn Yarbrough, a freshman at Plant City High School, recently placed second in the Florida Farm Bureau Speech Contest, held in Valrico.
The topic for the speech was “Food security is an important issue to the people of the United States. How can Florida Agriculture continue to provide quality solutions for the future?”
Yarbrough was awarded $100 and a medal from Michelle Williamson, contest chair.
