Plant City EDC hires marketing manager

The Plant City Economic Development Corp. has a new staff member.

On Thursday, June 30, the organization hired Alyssa Cerrito to serve as the marketing and communications manager for the Plant City EDC.

Cerrito, a graduate of the University of Central Florida's Rosen College, previously worked for the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport as the marketing and events coordinator. Most recently, she worked as the marketing coordinator for the Orlando Economic Development Commission.

“Alyssa’s experience, enthusiasm and skill set make her the perfect fit for the Plant City EDC,” Plant City EDC President Jake Austin said. “Coming from the Orlando EDC, she brings years of experience in event coordination, marketing, communications and investor relations to the table.”

“I am thrilled to be joining an organization that is both passionate and committed to the continued success of Plant City,” Cerrito said. “The community is well positioned for growth … I look forward to working alongside Jake, the Board and all of (the) investors to help establish Plant City as a premier location to live, work and raise a family.”
