Plant City Bar Association elects new officers


The Plant City Bar Association elected its new officers during the final meeting of its administrative year Sept. 14.

The new officers include Steve Sparkman (president); Ken Buchman (vice president); Jack Wolff (secretary); Nancey Penner (treasurer); and Cliff Opp (immediate past president/director).


Guest speaker Ken Tinkler, of Tampa, presented a continuing legal education program on recent changes to Florida election law.

The Plant City Bar Association is a voluntary group dedicated to upholding the honor and dignity of the legal profession, promoting improvements in the law and its administration, encouraging discourse on legal and civic topics of general interest, and promoting a better understanding between the general public and the legal profession.

Meetings are held at noon, the second Friday of each month (except August and December), at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 1205 Townsgate Court, Plant City.

Full membership in the Association is open to active members of the Florida Bar living or practicing within the jurisdictional boundaries of the 13th Judicial Circuit’s East Division.
