City officials announced during Monday’s commission meeting that a Hampton Inn will be built on a wooded site near Waffle House off Thonotosassa Road.
It is expected to be four stories tall, have 88 rooms and provide 24 permanent jobs. Permitting will take four to six months. Construction is expected to be 12 to 14 months.
