Planning and Zoning Division reviewing plans for model homes

Last month, plans were submitted to the City of Plant City’s Planning and Zoning division for five model homes and an office building for Jacobsen Homes to be located on 303 S. Frontage Road.

The office building would be approximately 1,900 square feet, with the homes and office building located on approximately .74 acres of land off of Interstate 4.

The land for the proposed building is already under commercial zoning, says Phillip Scearce, principal planner for the planning and zoning division.

“It’s not going through any type of public hearing review,” Scearce said. “It just went through staff review. It has already been reviewed administratively.”

Aside from a few technical aspects that needed modification, Scearce expects that the plans will be approved.
