Redskins don pink for breast cancer awareness

On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Antioch Redskins hosted the Turkey Creek Trojans to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness month. Though there are plenty of pink accessories on football fields across the country, the Redskins’ Varsity team wanted to take it a step further.

After the junior varsity game, in which the Trojans got a 20-0 win, the older boys broke out pink jerseys and pants for the occasion, while the Trojans’ Varsity team added pink stripes down the middle of their helmets. Turkey Creek defeated Antioch, 26-18, but the boys enjoyed wearing the new unis as much as the crowd enjoyed seeing them.
