Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the two unknown suspects in an armed robbery of a Plant City Publix.

At about 10:14 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, two suspects, armed with handguns and wearing stocking masks and gloves, forced open the front doors to the Publix at 2015 Thonotosassa Road in Plant City. Once inside, one of the armed suspects held the employees at bay while the other armed suspect forced another employee into the money vault.

The suspects obtained cash then fled the scene in what was described as a dark-colored van, possibly a late-model Honda Odyssey.

The suspects are believed to be black males. One suspect was described as being approximately 6 feet, 250 pounds and was wearing what appeared to be a black leopard hoodie with a red logo on the left sleeve, dark-colored pants and a ball cap with a red bill. The second suspect was described as being 6 foot 2, 170 pounds and was wearing a dark-colored hoodie and light-colored pants.

Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at CrimeStoppersTB.com or send a mobile tip using the P3 Tips Mobile application, which is a free download for iPhones and Droids. Crime Stoppers must be contacted first to be eligible for a cash reward.
