Seniors from Durant, Plant City and Strawberry Crest high schools, Simmons Career Center, Lakeland Christian School and more didn’t deserve to have their last semester stolen from them by a worldwide pandemic. So Plant City came together Saturday morning to give them an unforgettable experience the best way it knows how.
Seniors cruised through historic downtown, down South Collins Street and ended at Plant City High School in a big parade — one of Plant City’s longest parade routes, in fact — where participants stayed in their decked-out cars and onlookers practiced social distancing on the sidewalks.
