The Senshi Do Kai MMA team went to Strawberry Crest High on Saturday to put its skills to the test, and the results were good.
The school hosted the Newbreed Ultimate Challenge Florida State Open, a grappling tournament for mixed martial arts schools from around the state. Hundreds of competitors and fans filled the gymnasium throughout the day, whether cheering on the younger fighters or the adults.
Senshi Do Kai finished with 16 total medalists, and its youngest members finished with the third-most medals of any youth team at the tournament.
