The Woman’s Club of Plant City hosted a health fair Oct. 11, to promote both physical and mental health.
Lynn Connor, chair of the club’s Home Life Community Services program, organized the event. The Home Life program supports a different initiative each month, and October’s foci are breast cancer and domestic violence. Visitors to the fair received pink ribbons for breast cancer awareness.
Health care professionals from South Florida Baptist Hospital offered free checks for blood pressure, body mass index and more on the hospital’s mobile health screening station.
