State Sen. Ronda Storms was the keynote speaker during the Plant City Republican Women’s Club Thursday night at the home of the Plant City Victory Office director, Judy Wise.

Storms won the GOP primary earlier this summer for Hillsborough County property appraiser over incumbent Rob Tuner. In the November election she will take on Democratic former state Rep. Bob Henriquez and two no-party candidates.

“I like to speak from my heart,” Storms said, pulling up a chair for a casual speech to an intimate group.

Dan Raulerson who is running for state representative, district 58, also spoke.

“We can’t run a government like a business,” Raulerson said. “They’re two different things.”
