The many participants at this weekend’s Relay for Life proved that “curing cancer is sweet.”
The most current amount raised by the 72 teams is $230,000. But it’s not the final total. The goal for this year is $275,000.
The opening ceremonies kicked off at 6 p.m. yesterday. Event organizers spoke and asked the survivors, led by the Strawberry Queen and her court lead the first lap, reserved for survivors.
Honorary survivors, Angie Rollyson and Autumn Parrish also spoke.
