From 4 to 5 p.m. every Wednesday, children can visit with Bonnie the Therapy Dog at Bruton Memorial Library. Children, typically between age 3 and fifth grade, can choose a story to read to Bonnie. When they are finished, they receive a sticker, and older children can also receive bookmarks. Bonnie’s owner is Cassandra Banning, and the pair also regularly visits patients at South Florida Baptist Hospital.
