PHOTO GALLERY: Novelist Tim Dorsey visits Bruton Memorial Library

It was easy to tell best-selling novelist Tim Dorsey was at the Bruton Memorial Library Saturday, Jan. 23 — there was a Hawaiian shirt hanging in the back seat of his white car in front.

Dorsey is known for writing tropical antics in his Florida-based book series about loose-cannon vigilante Serge Storms.

His newest book in the series, “Coconut Cowboy,” debuted this month. There is also talk of TV show negotiations, in which the show will be based off his books.

About Serge A. Storms

Serge Storms travels the highways of Florida, obsessed with the Sunshine State’s many landmarks, alongside his junkie co-pilot, Coleman. Diagnosed with a cocktail of mental illnesses, Serge is inclined to homicidal rage and often executes his idea of justice by killing low-life criminals in creative ways. Because of this, the vigilante is hunted by police as a serial killer.
