Hundreds gathered for the annual Christmas production at Plant City’s First Baptist Church, 503. N. Palmer St. Friday, Dec. 14.
Called The Light of Christmas, the production featured an orchestra with members of the church and hired professional musicians. An entertaining light show to live music started the show while a gospel chorus sang. Soloists performed on the center stage while actors silently portrayed the birth of Jesus on one side stage and modern Christmas activities like gathering around a Christmas tree and soldiers opening gifts from home on the other side stage.
The production started at 7 p.m. There is still time to catch the production this weekend. It will be playing again tonight at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
