Students and their families filled Woodrow Wilson Elementary School the morning of Aug. 19, the first day of the new school year. Breakfast was served in the cafeteria for students who arrived early, and many parents stayed to eat with their children. The hallways were filled with smiling teachers holding their doors open wide as students raced to find their classrooms before the bell.
