Guests were entertained by a night full of religious-themed Christmas songs Saturday at Evangelical Presbyterian Church as the Plant City Community Choir presented its Christmas by Candlelight program.

It was the fourth year of the annual event, which featured a large choir and orchestra and a 16 song lineup. Songs ranged from notable favorites like “Joy to the World” and “Silent Night” to other religious favorites like “Away in a Manger” and “Rejoice with Exceeding Great Joy.”

The evening consisted of two separate performances and was led by conductors Joseph Mendolia, Peter Belk and Claudia Bolano. Mendolia is the executive and artistic director for the Plant City Community Choir, which is halfway through its fifth year of existence.

Narrators for the evening included Plant City commissioner William (Bill) Dodson and Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Plant City pastor Scott Lingle.
