Students at Bryan Elementary School had a reading pep rally Monday, Oct. 19, to celebrate Read Across the Globe.
As part of Read Across the Globe, students read with community volunteers and teachers to break the Guinness World Record for the “most children reading with an adult in 24 hours.” Volunteers, including Plant City Times & Observer Managing Editor Amber Jurgensen, read “Not Norman: A Goldfish Story” to students in front of tents, as part of the event’s camping theme.
