Following the parade, a drumline competition was held for middle and high school bands. Dowdell Drumline performed first, and wooed the crowd.
The five-day celebration of the 30th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Festival continued on Saturday, Jan. 16.
The event, put together by the Improvement League of Plant City, included a parade on Saturday, followed by a drumline competition. Attendees also were able to enjoy a street festival and a carnival. The street festival and carnival will continue on Sunday, Jan. 17.
