PHOTO GALLERY: 2016 Salute to Agriculture Breakfast

  • Melissa Sampson was named the Ag Educator of the Year.

  • Bill Morrow, with Morrow Steel, was named the 2016 Supporter of Youth in Agriculture.

  • BBI Produce was named the 2016 Agri-Business of the Year. Ronnie Young accepted the award on behalf of the company.

  • Anthony and Debbie Gill earned the Agriculturalist of the Year award for 2016.

  • Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce Chairman Brian West.

  • Farm Credit, who sponsors the breakfast every year, turned 100 in 2016.

  • Mary Pearson, club director for the Boys and Girls Club and Judi Whitson, a former Ag Educator of the Year winner.

  • Florida Strawberry Festival President Dan Walden was named Good Egg of the Month. He’s pictured with his wife, Pam Walden and son, Beau.

  • Todd Jones, running for Property Appraiser and Eric Seidel, running for Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Ag Educator of the Year Melissa Sampson with family including Dee Dee Wheeler, Tiffaney Henry, Jay Wheeler, Charles Sampson, Adam Sampson and Jasmine Sampson.

  • Anthony and Debbie Gill with their family, including Ryan Gill, Kaylie Gill, Jake Donley, Kaitlyn Gill Donley and Eli, EllaJae and Cuttler Gill.

  • Bill Morrow with wife Diane Morrow, Tonya Lawson, Eric Lawson, Chad Morrow and Kellie Morrow.

The Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce and Farm Credit of Central Florida hosted the 2016 Salute to Agriculture Breakfast Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the John R. Trinkle Center at Hillsborough Community College. 

The winners included: 

-Anthony and Debbie Gill, Agriculturalist of the Year 

-Bill Morrow, Supporter of Youth in Agriculture 

-BBI Produce, Agri-Business of the Year 

-Melissa Sampson, Ag Educator of the Year
